What to expect from a reading:
-
Our meeting, whether online (virtual) or in person, will start out the same way:
-
Exchange greetings, "how do you do?", small talk, etc. (you can opt out of the small talk, nbd)
-
-
Lily will ask if you have a deck preference, there are various decks that can be used for your reading, you will be presented with the options at your reading. If you don't have a preference, or can't decide, the default will be the one pictured most on this site, the Everyday Witch Tarot.
-
Lily will light a candle (if this is not preferred, it's completely ok, just let Lily know).
-
You will be asked to concentrate on what you are seeking knowledge about.
-
A list of options for what you would like to discuss will be presented to you, such as: relationship, transformation, goals, "hey, Universe, what's up?", "what will the coming week be like", etc.
-
This will determine which spread Lily will use to read your cards.
-
-
At the beginning you will not be asked what your question/thought is.
-
Lily will lay out a tarot cloth, to protect the cards from the table, and previous energies that might be lingering there.
-
The cards will be "knocked" to clear them of previous use and then shuffled for this reading.
-
You'll be asked to concentrate on your question/issue while the cards are being shuffled.
-
Then the cards will be laid out, face down, in the pattern as selected earlier, a 10 card transformation spread, a 3 card decision spread, etc.
-
Each card will be turned over, one at a time. One at a time, the cards will be interpreted/discussed based on it's location in the spread.
-
Once all cards are turned over and interpreted, Lily will ask if you'd like to share your question that you asked, and if yes, she will re-read the cards, in order, with that perspective in mind, and provide feedback overall.
-
This re-reading step is not required, however it can add extra insight into what is trying to be communicated.
-
After the reading is concluded, Lily will extinguish the candle and thank you.
-
The cards and cloth will be put away as good-byes are said.
-
The reading is over.
